Collecting autographs turned into a business as he traveled across the country attending major trade shows buying and selling memorabilia. JSA has accumulated an impressive database of known signature examples, which are used by autograph authenticators to accurately assess the thousands of autographs seen daily. The exemplar file is the most important tool JSA utilizes when authenticating any autograph. Submitted signatures can be compared to known authentic and forged examples, including non-malicious attempts. JSA experts regularly visit auction houses, attend trade shows/conventions and constantly research the veracity of autographs of sports figures, celebrities, entertainers, politicians and historical figures. Important Info About JSA at the Show

James Spence Authentication (JSA) will be at Keystone Comic Con to authenticate any autographed memorabilia. Items can either be signed at the show or brought from home/other conventions.

  • Show Signed Memorabilia:
    • For a special rate of $10 per signature, a tamper-resistant label will be affixed to the autographed item with matching certification card. No submission form is required, just stop by the JSA booth after getting the item signed to receive certification.
  • Pre-Show Signed Memorabilia:
    • Autograph(s) are dropped off with our team for a scheduled period of time during the show while the item is processed and examined by our experts. After pick up of the item, the customer may receive a preliminary opinion regarding their autograph(s), but the final results are mailed up to two weeks after the show.

Is there a pre-show registration? Will you be taking all walk-ups?

There is no pre-show registration and walk ups are always welcome. We do encourage anyone that has any questions about their autograph items before hand to contact us via our website or social media (@jsaloa) for further inquiry on authentication and our fees.

Pricing?

Authentication fees are based on the value of the celebrity or athlete's signature, what type of item it is on and how many people signed that specific item. Most of JSA's pricing for single signed items is found here: SpenceLOA.com/fees. For any item signed at the show, a special rate of $10 per autograph will be offered for JSA certification.
